Frequently asked questions

For adults under 60, holding 45+ seconds (eyes open) or 28+ seconds (eyes closed) is considered excellent. Performance declines naturally with age.

The Romberg ratio is your eyes-closed time divided by your eyes-open time. A ratio of 0.7 or above indicates low visual dependence and good proprioceptive ability. Below 0.5 suggests high reliance on vision for balance.

A difference greater than 10% between legs is linked to increased injury risk. Addressing asymmetry with targeted single-leg training can reduce that risk.
